R-25, 64-12, Aircraft Instrument Panel Light Dimming Rheostat

Aircraft Instrument Panel Light Dimming Rheostat as shown on photo. P/N 64-12. Type R-25. 56 Ohm, Series 2.5A. This type rheostat is used in production aircraft to dim instrument panel lights. It measures 1-9/16" diameter, 2" long and it mounts in a 3/8" diameter instrument panel hole. The shaft is 1/4" diameter. It was removed from a salvage aircraft.
